Black Chip Poker Promotions

Every poker site that hopes to attract as well as to keep customers will offer a number of promotions aimed at providing value. Black Chip Poker is among the industry’s best in terms of running various promotions.

Some of the promos are of a more permanent nature, such as The Beast leaderboard race or the first time Deposit Bonus of 100% up to $1,000, both of which have been in place for several years. Other promos, a tournament series or a special reload bonus, tend to have designated start and finish dates.

Whether the promo offered is ongoing or more in the fleeting category, it’s typically designed for players to pad their bankrolls and should be taken advantage of at every possible opportunity. Astute poker players keep their eyes open for valuable promotions, and fortunately, Black Chip is a poker room where there are a number of promos to be found at any given time.

The home page here at Black Chip Poker Bonus Code covered the generous Deposit Bonus and the weekly $250 New Depositors Freeroll. So we’ll bypass those valuable promotions and move on to the others.

The Beast

A progressive points race, The Beast is known far and wide as an awesome bankroll booster for serious grinders. All that’s required to excel is to play poker on Black Chip’s cash game tables.

The Beast

You will accumulate points the more hands you play, and those points are automatically tracked and kept up to date on a weekly leaderboard. At the end of the week, thousands of dollars in prize money and tournament tickets are awarded to the top players who collected the most points.

Here are the main points to remember about The Beast:

  • No extra fee from players as The Beast prize money is taken from the rake
  • A new leaderboard awarding cash and tourney tickets begins every week
  • Each race starts Saturday at 00:00 and runs until Friday at 23:59
  • Cash prize winners are paid every Monday

Participation is automatic once you contribute to a pot that gets raked. Every cash game table feeds into The Beast prize money, meaning that the pot is growing all the time as a lot of cash tables are being played across Black Chip and the entire Winning Poker Network.

Players earn 1 point for every $0.02 that goes toward The Beast according to the weighted-contributed method of rake distribution that was spelled out in more detail in the “VIP Program” section. Here’s a closer look at how The Beast is fed.

Players at the Table Cash to feed The Beast Max. Amount
2 players at the table $0.02 out of every $0.06 in rake up to$ 0.04
3 players at the table $0.02 out of every $0.06 in rake up to$ 0.08
4 players or more at the table $0.02 out of every $0.06 in rake up to $0.24

While you’re at the cash game tables and playing to win money from your opponents, The Beast cares not whether you win or lose. Your status on the leaderboard is determined simply by the points accumulated as you play.

You can keep track of your progress by clicking “Rewards” and then clicking on “Point Race” to view the leaderboard. Your own personal points total will also be displayed on the right-hand side of the page, as well as whether or not you have won a tournament entry, including the tourney start date.

Can you tame The Beast and land on the leaderboard among the top prize winners? Play lots of cash game poker and it can be done!

Sit & Crush

While The Beast is for cash game players, Black Chip and WPN certainly don’t want to leave out their Sit & Go, Jackpot Poker, and On Demand tournament players. Hence, the Sit & Crush promotion is in play, which is a weekly leaderboard race available for players of those three games.

Sit & Crush

Just like The Beast, it’s a progressive points race that comes with no extra cost to players. The money used for Sit & Crush prizes is taken from the rake paid upon entering the Sit & Go, Jackpot Poker, and On Demand tournaments.

Here’s an example of how Sit & Crush prize money accumulates. A $10 + $1 Sit & Go will find Black Chip keeping 75 cents ($0.75) of the $1 fee and using the other 25 cents ($0.25) toward Sit & Crush prizes. Players will earn points at the rate of 5 for every $1 that goes toward the Sit & Crush jackpot.

How the Sit & Crush Works

Also like The Beast, thousands of dollars in cash and tournament tickets are doled out weekly, with each race beginning on Saturday at 00:00 and ending on Friday at 23:59. Winning or losing the tournaments matters not in the Sit & Crush rankings, as participation in the games, is all that’s required.

Your Sit & Crush progress is checked the same way as The Beast, by clicking “Rewards” and then clicking on “Point Race.” Both are readily available for viewing, either one or the other, by a simple mouse click on the name of the race.

Whether you prefer cash games or Sit & Gos, Black Chip Poker has a weekly leaderboard race available. Remember, both are completely free to enter, providing very generous prizes for loyal players.

The Cage

Among the more unique promos at Black Chip is The Cage, so called because once you enter the game you can’t leave until either the time is up or you bust and lose all of your money. It’s a 5-hour cash game held every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. ET.

The Cage

Players buy-in for $1,000 + $50, receive 1,000 chips each worth a dollar and play for five hours. Blind levels increase every hour, with a 5-minute break after every 55 minutes of play.

Whatever chips you have in front of you after the 5 hours are up are yours to keep as the game is over. Your account is credited accordingly. Some points to remember about The Cage are as follows:

  • 6-max tables played under a multi-table tournament format
  • Starting chip stack of 1,000 at $1 per chip
  • If you bust, you’re out
  • No re-buys or add-ons
  • No overtime as the game will end after 5 hours
  • Players taking excessive time to act will be warned, then suspended

As you can see by the rules, The Cage is poker’s version of the cage matches made famous by WWF wrestlers years ago. You can’t leave until it’s over. Here are the blind levels of The Cage:

  • Level 1 – $5/$10 blinds and $1 ante
  • Level 2 – $8/$16 blinds and $1 ante
  • Level 3 – $10/$20 blinds and $2 ante
  • Level 4 – $15/$30 blinds and $3 ante
  • Level 5 – $25/$50 blinds and $5 ante

For players who would like to participate in The Cage but find the $1,000 buy-in a bit too pricey, Black Chip Poker has a solution. Read on to learn about The Playpen, the micro-stakes version of The Cage.

The Playpen

Players on a budget can try The Playpen, which has almost all the same rules as The Cage, but on a much smaller scale. The buy-in is $10 + $0.50 and it gets you a starting stack of 1,000 chips at a penny ($0.01) a piece.

The Playpen

Instead of 5 hours of play, The Playpen concludes after just one hour. The match consists of four blind levels, each lasting 13 minutes. Just as in The Cage, the chips in front of you after one hour of play are converted into cash and added to your Black Chip account.

The game is played under the 6-max multi-table tournament format. There are five matches of The Playpen held every Friday starting at 3:00 p.m. ET, with each new game beginning two hours later at 5:00, 7:00, 9:00, and 11:00. Here are the blind levels:

  • Level 1 – 5/10 with 1 unit ante
  • Level 2 – 10/20 with 2 unit ante
  • Level 3 – 15/30 with 3 unit ante
  • Level 4 – 25/50 with 5 unit ante

The Playpen allows no re-buys or re-entries. The idea is to give micro-stakes players a taste of The Cage, without busting bankrolls in the process.

Other Promotions

Black Chip hosts several tournament series throughout the year, making sure to cater to players of all budget sizes and skill levels. Most of the online poker festivals feature guaranteed events with combined prize money in the millions of dollars.

There are also periodic reload bonuses that allow players to earn bonus money by making a deposit, similar to the popular first-time Deposit Bonus. Once you become a loyal player and provide your email address to Black Chip Poker, you will receive emails of any new promos offered, allowing you to maximize your earning potential.
